After receiving my DNA results from iGENEA, I discovered elements of surprising complexity and diversity within my Buschmann family lineage. With its revelations taking me from Germany and Eastern Europe to Jewish and Viking roots, the test compelled a reevaluation of my ancestral understanding and self-perception.
Acquiring the DNA test results from iGENEA has genuinely shifted my perspective of my ancestral lineage, particularly concerning my Buschmann ancestors.
Before the test, I had a rather definitive, albeit simplistic understanding of my Buschmann heritage. I had been led to believe that my Buschmann ancestors hailed primarily from Germany and resided in the same regions for generations.
